What is this bump above my wrist when i bend it?

I had a ganglion in exactly the same place. In the old days, they used to hit it with a heavy book, i.e. the family bible. In my case, it continued to grow and I eventually went into hospital to have it removed. I'm not sure it will go away on its own, though.
