Help! My husband wants to emigrate?

My husband wants me to consider emigrating to either canada or new zealand, he feels that a fresh start would be good for us as we've had a pretty shitty time recently(debt,eviction not gong to much into that). We have a 3 year old daughter and both score high on each country's points system. on one hand i find the idea of moving exciting but on the other i scares the hell out of me. also i feel really bad leaving my mum her and my daughter have the most fantastic relationship . Has anyone already emigrated what was it like
