If I'm a Christian, is it wrong to love someone who isn't?

I'm in love with my boyfriend, but he's not a Christian. He was actually raised one, went to a Christan school and everything. His parents were strict about it, but now he doesn't really believe in anything. Is it wrong that I love him? I know Christians say it's not good to date outside your religion because it can cause problems down the road, but I really love him. I do wish he believed in God but I can't change him.
