How to get over arachnophobia?

alright. I need a way to overcome my arachnophobia. I am f*cking TERRIFIED of spiders. Even just looking at a picture creeps me out. Earlier today I was making pancakes and looked at the floor to see a brown, furry spider bigger than my big toe.. I flipped. I ran to wake up my mom to kill it and it ran into the pantry closet where we can't find it. I need a way to overcome my fear of them so I can kill them and won't quiver with fear when I get close to one. Any help would be greatly appreciated...
