Missing parts for browning buckmark?

Yesterday I took my gun apart to clean it for the first time. The directions that came with my buckmark weren't very specific, and so in the process of cleaning it, I lost the recoil spring retaining clip, and if there is supposed to be a buffer on the front (barrell side) of the recoil rod, I lost that as well. I am supposed to go shooting with a few guys this weekend, and although I have the new parts on order, I am not sure they will make it here in time. Is it a big deal to shoot with it for a day without these two pieces?
