Why Does Religion Make Some People So Crazy?

Well jihad is an extreme religion. Not a loving one. I am christian, and the thought would never enter my mind to do something terrible in Jesus name. Not to mention, there are "nuts" out there of all race, religion, gender etc. So compare the handful you hear about to the millions who don't act that way.
