I just need some feedback!?

Ok so I was seein this guy for about a month and a half and things were really good. Movin really fast. He was even sayin how he was fallin in love with me. Then one day he broke up with me! Out of the freakin blue! I really do still like this guy and I think he likes me but I am not sure. He said we moved way to fast so I kinda think he got scared. Well when he broke up with me I didn't call, text nothing. Then a week later he text me and wanted to come over. We text for like 2 hours before I finally said ok come over and that was really hard, I know I suck, Well he tried to come over again last night and was going to but I have kids and one of em woke up and he just went home. Now today he text me during lunch, said hey whats up but nothing really important. I think the only thing I am doing half right is that I NEVER contact him first, I am trying to play hard to get. Am I doing enough by letting him make the move? I want him back but I really need some help! Any advice?
